Some people have been asking "so what are you doing/ going to do to lose weight?"... Well I have a friend who is actually serving in YW's with me. She is really into training and eating healthy so I asked her to help me make a meal plan... She did and I love it!! So I am going to do posts here and there on what she taught me, and I am still learning!! Thanks Lauren =)
BREAKFAST:
- 1 cup Kashi GOLEAN (Naturally sweetened fiber twigs, Soy Protein Grahams, and honey puff cereal)
- 1 cup milk
- and any fruit you choose
I choose banana because I love the way it tastes with this cereal!! Its really good sliced in it!!
Do you have any good meal ideas?? Please share!!

Good job Em! It sounds like you are doing great. My best suggestion is to go with whole wheat products for everything...brown rice, whole wheat tortillas, wheat bread, etc. because they are healthier and contain fiber, which makes you stay fuller longer. Also, WATER WATER WATER...this makes such a huge difference. At least 64 oz per day. I am trying to eat healthier, too and it is hard. I am a sugar addict and that is what gets me most of the time. Keep up the good work though! Can't wait to see how you do!
Dinner is always what gets me, well besides drinks (I love lemonade and soda!!) and so here's my favorite filling, low calorie meal:
4oz Fish (Salmon is my favorite)
Green veggie (Broccoli for me)
small baked potato
lettuce salad with a light dressing (favorite is Dole's Field greens with some spinach and radishes added)
water w/lemon
This always fills me up and usually clocks in under 600cals. Plus it's chock full of vitamins. You have to be careful of what you're putting on stuff. I love butter, but major cals there, so I use the I can't believe it's not butter spray and then light sour cream for my potato.
I got my mom a Diabetes cookbook awhile back - I should copy some recipes out of there and try them out. If they're good for people with diabetes, then they're good for a sugar addict like me.
